Who is responsible

What we collect and why

When you buy a guide: you buy on Payhip’s checkout page, and Payhip shares the order with us: your email address, your country, and what you bought and paid. We use them to answer your questions, handle withdrawals and refunds, and keep the records tax law requires. Legal basis: our contract with you, and our legal duties (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b) and (c)). Your card or PayPal details go to the payment provider; we never see them.

If you tick “Send me product updates and offers” at checkout: we may email you about new guides and offers, using Payhip’s email tool. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time with the unsubscribe link in each email or by emailing us.

When you visit the site: our host processes technical data such as your IP address and browser in its server logs, to deliver the site and keep it secure. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a working, secure website (Art. 6(1)(f)).

In your browser: the site doesn’t set cookies or store anything in your browser. If we add analytics, we’ll ask for your consent first and update this page.

Who processes your data for us

• Payhip: our checkout. It takes payments, delivers the guides and sends receipts, and for buyers in the EU and the UK it charges and pays the VAT. Payhip also processes some data as its own controller; see Payhip’s privacy policy.
• Stripe or PayPal: take your payment for Payhip, depending on how you pay; see their privacy policies.
• Vercel (USA): hosts the website.

Some of these companies are based outside the EU, in the UK and the USA. Transfers to the UK rely on the EU’s adequacy decision for the UK; transfers to the USA on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

• Purchase records: as long as tax and accounting law requires, up to 10 years.
• Email updates you opted into: until you unsubscribe.
• Server logs: for a short time, as set by our host.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, and ask us to correct, delete or restrict it, or to hand it over in a portable format. You can object to processing based on our legitimate interests, and withdraw your consent at any time. Email hello@wesurvive.app and we’ll answer within one month. You can also complain to a data protection authority, for example the one where you live.

Changes

If we change how we use your data, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
